We all have our ways of managing stress. Some are healthier than others. I go out for a surf and Gary does something physically demanding in the yard.
While that stuff might work… so does hugging a cow. Seriously! It turns out if you cuddle a cow, it reduces your stress levels. I was pretty skeptical but there’s science behind this. When you embrace a cow, it releases the bonding hormone, oxytocin.
This is specific to cows because of their warm body temperature and how calm they are.
And before PETA gets all upset, the cows benefit form this too! hey feel just as relaxed! When you hug a cow, it gives them the same feeling of them licking themselves which I guess they really like!
